Sandy Neck Nature Trails (Moderate to Strenuous - Distance Ranging from 1.6 - 12 miles)

Marvel at the natural beauty that Cape Cod is known for during your hike on Sandy Neck Nature Trails! This trail system is located 1 hour from Jellystone Park™ Cranberry Acres is home to the Piping Plover, an endangered species of bird. Spot some wildlife on your hike and pick your own adventure! You can follow various trails throughout the natural areas, ranging from 1.6 miles to 12 miles total. This moderate to strenuous hike is through sand, so keep this in mind when choosing footwear!
 
 

Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen (Easy - 1 mile)

Looking for hiking near Cape Cod for the whole family? Head to Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen! This natural area located 35 minutes from our campground sits atop the former grounds of Thornton Burgess, author of several children’s stories such as Peter Rabbit. Adventure around the grounds and stop by the Jam Kitchen for some goodies before going on your way. 
 

Morris Island Trail (Easy - 1 mile)

Morris Island Trail in Chatham is known as some of the best hiking in Massachusetts for scenic views. From this easy 1.5 mile loop located 1 hour and 15 minutes from Jellystone Park™ Cranberry Acres, you can spot both the Atlantic Ocean and Chatham Harbor. Enjoy the coastal views, salt marshes, and maybe even some wildlife along the way. 
 

The Dune Shacks Trail (Moderate - 3.6 miles)

The Dune Shacks Trail in Provincetown is a popular hiking trail near Cape Cod. This hike most notably features historic dune shacks, which at one point in time housed artists and writers looking for inspiration from the natural area. Witness the natural beauty just like E.E. Cummings did, and maybe find some inspiration from your surroundings on this Massachusetts hike! This historic hike is located 2 hours from our Massachusetts Camp-Resort. 
 

Great Island Trail (Moderate - 8 miles)

The Great Island Trail is perfect for hikers looking for a more challenging hiking trail in Cape Cod! This 8 mile hike boasts scenic views, great birdwatching, and a remote feeling that few other trails in the area can provide. Keep in mind that some areas of this hike may be tide-dependent, so plan accordingly. This trail is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Jellystone Park™ Cranberry Acres.
 

Punkhorn Parklands (Easy to Moderate - Varying Lengths)

If you’re looking for a hiking trail near Cape Cod that allows dogs, look no further than Punkhorn Parklands. This trail system allows you to choose how far you’d like to hike and the trails are well-marked, making this a perfect adventure. A unique aspect of this natural area is the presence of kettleholes, which are depressions in the landscape from melting of ancient glaciers. Showcasing fish ladders and other structures to facilitate fish migration, this natural area is imperative in the preservation of several fish species. Learn more about fish and keep your eyes peeled for a variety of bird species during your trip to the Bournedale Herring Run Wildlife Management Area. This hike is located just 30 minutes from Jellystone Park™ Cranberry Acres, so take advantage of the close proximity and see the natural beauty of Cape Cod!

Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail (Easy - 1.9 miles)

The Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail is a very popular destination for hiking near Cape Cod, and there's a good reason why! Travel through time as you visit a historic cranberry bog house and hike through glacially carved landscape. Spend a little extra time and visit the beach, located just off the trail. This Cape Cod hiking trail is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from our Camp-Resort, and the hike itself takes around an hour to complete.
